1) Change the position of your furniture occasionally if possible. By doing this you will decrease traffic wear areas on your carpet. Even with regular vacuuming, soil particles and oily dirt will cling to carpet fibers. Foot traffic drives these particles and dirt deep into the carpet.
2) We recommend that every 6 to 18 months you have your carpets professionally cleaned, depending on the traffic in your home and whether or not you have pets. This will not only keep your carpets looking new, but will decrease the damage and extend their life for years to come.
3) Vacuum often – dirt particles are driven deep into the carpet where the fibers can be damaged, causing premature wear. In heavy traffic areas, daily vacuuming is recommended. In other areas of the home, we recommend vacuuming at least once or twice a week.
4) When spills happen (and they will) blot the spill well, then rinse with a small amount of clean water and blot again.Using certain soaps and chemicals will actually attract dirt, so start with just water if possible.
